Some DÖRR SnapShot Cloud trail camera models offer configurable SMTP forwarding. This can deliver picture emails to Wildkamera Pro. Availability and setup screens depend on the exact camera and version of the manufacturer’s app.
Does your DÖRR model support it?
DÖRR advertises SMTP forwarding for certain SnapShot Cloud Pro and Cloud Mini products. Check your specific camera or DÖRR app for this feature before changing anything.
If your model does not offer SMTP forwarding, do not copy settings from another camera. Manufacturer cloud access alone does not guarantee that pictures can be forwarded by email.
1. Add the camera in Camera Connect
Create a DÖRR camera entry in Wildkamera Pro and assign it a location. Add its GPS position if you want to see it on the hunting-ground map.
Wildkamera Pro generates a dedicated receiving email address. This address is the destination for forwarded photos; it is not an SMTP login or password.
2. Check the DÖRR SMTP settings
Open the SMTP forwarding option provided for your camera model. Depending on the setup, you may need your own mail provider’s SMTP host, port, encryption setting, sender details and authentication credentials.
Only use parameters supplied for your email service and follow both DÖRR’s and the SMTP provider’s instructions. Settings from a different device or provider may not work.
3. Send a single test image
Enter the Wildkamera Pro receiving address as the destination, save the changes and trigger one test image.
If a supported image attachment is delivered, it can be processed into the Camera Inbox. Email format and delivery time depend on the camera, cloud version and mail service.
4. Organise pictures by camera and location
Once the test succeeds, review incoming images, mark favourites and import selected pictures. Automatic import can be enabled separately for an individual camera.
Different cameras can share a location while remaining separately identifiable. Each can also have its own GPS position.
What to check when SMTP fails
Common problems include an incorrect port or encryption mode, rejected SMTP credentials, a missing image attachment or an incorrectly entered destination. Check the mail provider’s sending status before troubleshooting the inbox.
Wildkamera Pro receives supported picture emails; it does not replace the DÖRR manufacturer cloud or remote camera controls.
Only use SMTP if your DÖRR model supports it. Keep sender credentials separate from the receiving address and check the whole path with a single picture.
