Managing several trail cameras can mean hundreds of picture emails. Camera Connect brings supported image attachments into one Wildkamera Pro inbox and keeps them linked to the right camera and location.
What Camera Connect does
Each connected camera has its own receiving email address. Supported picture emails arrive in the Camera Inbox first and can then be imported into the main Wildkamera Pro photo collection.
This is not a universal remote-control system for every manufacturer. First check whether your camera or provider can send or forward pictures by email.
1. Add up to ten cameras
The camera management feature supports up to ten camera entries per user, subject to access to the feature. Give each camera a recognisable name and use its individual receiving address.
Do not confuse that address with your Wildkamera Pro login email. Copy it into the email destination field provided by the manufacturer or forwarding portal.
2. Set location and GPS position
Choose an existing location for each camera or create a new one. Several cameras can share the same location, for example two directions overlooking a clearing.
Each camera can also have its own GPS coordinates, allowing the devices to be shown separately on the hunting-ground map.
3. Use a separate confirmation email
Some manufacturers send activation or verification messages to the configured destination address. Camera Connect lets you choose a separate confirmation email for each camera.
Verification messages are forwarded to that address, while compatible emails with picture attachments are processed into the Camera Inbox.
4. Review your Camera Inbox
Incoming pictures are grouped by camera and by closely timed captures. Open groups, browse individual images, keep favourites and import only the photos you want.
Automatic import is controlled per camera. You can enable it for one camera while reviewing another camera manually.
5. Understand temporary inbox storage
The Camera Inbox is a temporary area for newly received media. Imported photos belong to your main collection, where you can use other Wildkamera Pro photo and observation features.
Inbox retention is limited and depends on the configured cleanup policy. Import pictures you want to keep before they are removed from the inbox.
A reliable order for getting started
Set up one camera, send one test image and check the address, camera mapping, location and import behaviour. Add other cameras only after the first works as expected.
For manufacturer-specific steps, see the separate guides for SEISSIGER/SUPERSIM and SMTP-compatible DÖRR models.
Set up cameras one at a time, verify delivery with a test image and choose automatic import deliberately.
